We had 48h to save the world… or build a product for it under a worldwide theme: ((heart))BEATS. During that time, in +60 countries, +1600 participants met, built a team, brainstormed, defined ideas, interviewed users, created personas, sketched, prototyped, tested, filled a business model canvas and made a presentation.
Grow3 is an educational project for children from 6 to 12 years old which aims is to raise sustainability awareness by playing. Respect, teamwork, empathy and creativity are the core values that we try to promote through the different activities and games.
We provide all materials, advise and follow up during all the process and stages that can last one month or an academic year, depending on each case.
The first step is to identify school necessities and their problems facing sustainability issues. We then provide solutions concerning four main areas: recycling, water, energy and market garden. Once the center has chosen the main working area we introduce a guideline of action. The game is based on missions proposed to the class and to each children who will acquire a sense of responsibility and will learn the importance of each matter. All missions have different challenges to be achieved that we present in different games and activities. Children get involved in every part of the process by learning and recognizing all elements and finally creating something with them. Children opinion and feedback is very important during and after the games because that will allow the proper development of the project. The main objective is children participation and that they learn by playing.
